Turning in early for the night because I’m your grandmother.

But in seriousness, it’s been such a long ass day what with internship shit this morning and family things this afternoon and evening.

I’m going to be taking care of all things audio on set tomorrow for the filming of the first few episodes of a web series my friend is producing, so I’ve got a pretty long day ahead of me too tomorrow. Hopefully it’ll go by fast enough. I’m weirdly excited just for the fact that the studios we’re filming in are just steps away from the location of my very first television-related internship. I’m toying with the idea of popping in there before my call time just to give everyone a quick hello. But that would mean I’d have to get up earlier, which isn’t appealing at all considering how early I already have to get up tomorrow morning so… nevermind.

Funnily enough, I enjoyed today’s meeting at my internship. I feel a lot more like part of the team. And weirdly enough, I cracked the most jokes today and actually got quite a bit of laughter from everyone. On top of that, they all thought my pitch for a new lower thirds design was “pretty sick.” Sadly, the boss man was intent on something completely different so we’re going with his ideas instead.

It’s still awesome that they thought my design was pretty wicked. It makes me feel more confident about working with video and visuals again. I’ve focused so much on audio/music production (because it’s the area where I want to professionalize in) that I’ve gotten rusty with everything else and I make myself feel like a complete noob. The truth is, however, that I know that I’m capable of a bit more than just your average little things in Photoshop. But, you know, as time passes… you forget how to do things.
